Munster Band Program

The February Munster Band Backer Meeting will be this TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 9 at 7 PM in the MHS Band Room.

THANK YOU Munster Band parents and students as well as the MHS Administration and Maintenance staff for helping to  host the ISSMA Solo and Ensemble competition this past weekend. We successfully hosted over 3000 students and parents from schools in Lake and Porter County on Saturday - and we all survived!!

We have received MANY complements on our friendly, helpful, and professional MHS and WWMS Band student judge assistants, runners, and guides - and equally as many compliments on our wonderful Munster Band parent volunteers.

Special Thanks to our Committee Chairs - we could not have done it without your smiling faces and AWESOME coordination skills!! HUGE THANKS to our Concessions Chairs (Teri Oesterle and Maureen Harangody), Judges Meals and Hospitality (Kay Drabenstot and Nancy Conger), and Volunteers (Kim Ballard and Ruth Yothment).

Thank you to ALL who have volunteered or donated for ISSMA. The online signup is now locked, but you may view the schedule at ISSMA Schedule.

If you need to make any changes, please call Ruth @219-678-6037 or Kim @ 1-708-606-0686. If you want to volunteer on Saturday and have not signed up, please check in at the Volunteer Check-in near the front doors of MHS and we will find an assignment for you!

Please remember to sign up to help out with the ISSMA Solo and Ensemble Contest hosted by Munster Bands on Saturday, February 6. We need EVERYONE to help make this event a success, and to ensure the contestants, their familes, and the visiting judges feel welcome at Munster! We are expecting approximately 3,000 people to visit our school for ISSMA.

ALL VOLUNTEERS: Please sign-in near the MHS main office and receive a name-tag and instructions for your shift. If possible, please wear Munster Band or Munster spirit wear (or something RED!) to help identify you as a volunteer!

ISSMA Munster Band Family donations  -

• 6th Grade: 2 dozen Brownies or Cookies (individually packaged - 2 cookies/brownies per zip-lock bag)
• 7th and 8th Grade: 1 batch Puppy Chow snack Puppy Chow Recipe
• ALL Freshmen + Sophomore (Woodwinds only): 1 case (24 bottles) of Aquafina water
• Sophomore (except sophomore woodwinds): 1 case (24 cans) DIET Pepsi/Sierra Mist/Mountain Dew
• Juniors and Seniors: 1 case (24 cans) REGULAR Pepsi/Sierra Mist/or Mountain Dew

NOTE — Beverage donations MUST be Pepsi products due to school town contractual obligations. Donations can be dropped off in the WWMS or MHS band room.
